Tailoring Your Home to Perfection

An interior renovation is how a house becomes a different house without anybody moving. It is the sensible, cost-effective route to the home you want: same address, same lot, same neighbours, everything inside rebuilt around how you actually live.

It also takes time and thought, because the space gets stripped back and started again. Whether that is one room refreshed or a whole floor overhauled, the work is precision craftsmanship first and finishes second, and the sequence matters as much as the selections.

  • Cookie-cutter results

What You Sign Before the First Wall Comes Out

Over the last three years 86% of our renovations finished on budget and 92% inside the committed timeline. That is what the paperwork below is for.

The Safe Choice

TRUE FORM CONSTRUCTION

  • Fixed-Price Contract

Scope, allowances and exclusions in writing, with detailed cost forecasting behind the number rather than a round figure.

  • Permits Filed by Us

Applications submitted to the City of Toronto, inspections booked, and Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code accounted for at design stage.

  • One Team, One Schedule

Architects, designers and trades under one brand, so a question gets an answer instead of a referral.

  • 5-Year Warranty

Workmanship covered for five years in a document you keep.

Typical Contractor

  • Estimate Only

A number that moves the week the first wall opens and nobody had priced what was behind it.

  • Permits Left to You

"You file it." The city review then sits on your critical path, not the builder one.

  • Rotating Sub-Trades

Different crews, different answers, and a schedule that depends on whoever is free.

  • 1 Year Limited

Cover that expires about the time a floor joint or a tile line starts to show.

What an Interior Renovation Covers, Room by Room

Home renovated by True Form Construction

Home Remodeling

Modernising does not mean erasing character. We reimagine a house by updating how it functions while leaving its architecture intact.

  • Whole-house transformations: for dated layouts, a full remodel gives every square foot a purpose again.
  • Structural changes: walls down, beams in, ceilings opened, with the floorplan optimised on drawings rather than guesswork.
Kitchen renovated by True Form Construction

Kitchen Renovation

A kitchen should work as hard as it looks. Prep, storage and gathering zones are planned before a single cabinet is specified.

  • Functional layouts: work triangles, traffic flow and appliance zones dialled in so no movement is wasted.
  • Premium materials: quartz, natural stone, custom-cut backsplashes and soft-close cabinetry as standard.
Bathroom renovated by True Form Construction

Bathroom Renovation

Toronto houses vary wildly in what a bathroom can be, and all of them deserve one that feels like a retreat rather than a corridor with a tap.

  • Spa-like retreats: heated floors, rainfall showers, custom vanities and lighting you can turn down.
  • Space-efficient upgrades: pocket doors, recessed storage and floating vanities where every inch counts.
Finished basement by True Form Construction

Basement Finishing

Extra footprint starts below grade. An underused basement becomes a finished, properly insulated part of the house rather than storage with a carpet.

  • Usable space: legal bedrooms, media lounges and family rooms with full insulation and sound dampening.
  • Purpose-built: in-law suites, rental units, gyms or offices, with a separate entrance where the layout allows.

Condos and Custom Cabinetry

Tight footprints and condo board rules are constraints, not limits. And in any interior, storage built to the room beats storage bought to fit it.

  • Strata-savvy work: permits, board approvals and noise compliance handled so the start date holds.
  • In-house millwork: walk-in pantries, media walls, island storage, window seats and wine walls shaped to the room contours.

Proven Toronto Experience

Over 15 years of interior work across the city, from century homes in The Annex to high-rise units in Liberty Village. Local building styles, zoning bylaws and permit requirements are second nature, and we have moved through condo board approvals and heritage restrictions without stalling a schedule.

Everything In-House

Registered architects, certified interior designers, licensed electricians and Red Seal tradespeople on one team. That means communication that does not get lost between companies, and a problem solved on site rather than escalated to somebody who will call back.

Permits, Full Stop

Toronto Building guidelines are complex and they change. We file, track and follow up with the city directly, and have carried approvals for structural wall removals, three-piece basement bathrooms and full-floor condo refits.

Questions About Interior Renovations in Toronto

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We manage every permit application the City of Toronto requires, whether the work is structural, electrical or plumbing, and we book the inspections that go with them. Keeping it in-house is what stops approvals from becoming the reason a project sits still.

How long does a kitchen or bathroom take?

A full kitchen renovation usually runs six to eight weeks, a bathroom four to six. Those windows include design sign-off, demolition, construction and inspections. Custom cabinetry or imported materials can extend them, which is why the lead times are agreed before the contract rather than discovered during it.

What does an interior renovation cost in Toronto?

It moves with how much of the house is being touched, whether any of it is structural, and how much of the mechanical and electrical has to be brought up to code once the walls are open. A single room refreshed and a whole floor rebuilt are nowhere near one price, which is why we quote after walking the space rather than over the phone.

Which Toronto areas do you cover?

The Toronto core including downtown, East York, North York and York, plus Etobicoke, Scarborough and The Beaches. We also work through Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill, and take projects in Oakville, Pickering and Ajax on request.

Can we live in the house during the work?

Usually yes, when the work is confined to part of the house: the zone is hoarded, dust control runs and the noisy items are scheduled. For a full-floor renovation, the kitchen and at least one bathroom are out of use for a stretch, and we give you those dates in advance rather than on the morning.

We have no design plans. Can you help?

That is the usual starting point. Our in-house designers develop the floor plans, material palettes, lighting layouts and finishes with you, and guide layout and fixture decisions. You do not need a concept before you call, and if you already have a designer we are happy to build to their drawings.

Styled interior after a full renovation

Smart Living, Modern Design and the Finishes Over It

An interior renovation is the cheapest moment in a house life to fix what sits behind the walls. While they are open, the systems that will run the next twenty years go in properly rather than being retrofitted around finished rooms later.

Smart Home Integration

Centralised control over lighting, security, climate and appliances, from a phone or by voice. Dimmable and sensor-based lighting per room, smart locks and cameras synced together, and a thermostat that learns the household schedule instead of fighting it.

Lighting That Does More Than Illuminate

Ambient light for relaxing, task light where work happens, and accent light on the architecture worth looking at. Energy-efficient LEDs and recessed schemes that disappear into the ceiling rather than competing with it.

Energy-Efficient Systems Built In

High-performance insulation, energy-rated windows and smart HVAC cut heat loss in winter and cooling costs in summer. Natural Resources Canada puts the saving from efficiency upgrades at 20 to 30 per cent of an annual utility bill.

Flooring, Walls and the Finishing Touches

Hardwood, laminate, tile, luxury vinyl or cork and bamboo, each specified to how the room is actually used. Straight framing and precise taping under two coats of low-odour paint, so the walls read flat under every light in the room. Full interior design is available in-house, from the mood board to the space planning, and we are equally happy building to your own designer drawings.
